Poisson mandarin ou Poisson cachemire

Synchiropus splendidus est un petit poisson (6 cm) brillamment coloré de la famille des Callionymidae très populaire dans le commerce d'aquariophilie d'eau de mer.
Synchiropus splendidus se rencontre dans le Pacifique occidental. C'est un habitant de récif, préférant les lagunes abritées et les récifs côtiers.
Synchiropus splendidus consomme principalement de petits crustacés et d'autres invertébrés.
